KR4RDU, Orange County, NC

KR4RDU (under the original call of KB4HG) proudly served as the first D-Star Repeater in North Carolina. Originally under test in Sanford, NC, the machine was temporarily relocated to the Raleigh Amateur Radio Society UHF site in North Raleigh, then migrated to the old WTVD site on TV Hill in North Durham. Our first D-Star machine then moved to its current (and hopefully final) transmitting site in southern Orange County.

Configured as a UHF only or "Port B" node, the system openates on 442.5375/447.5375 and is equipped with a DController Repeater Controller and DPlus Internet Gateway running 80 watts into feedline and antenna.

All users within the greater Orange, Durham, Chatham, Lee, and Alamance County North Carolina areas are invited to make use of this machine and its linking capabilities.
